Twenty galleries and several institutions participated in the 2023 edition of CIMB's Artober Art & Soul, including many of the leading galleries from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Participating this year were G13 Gallery, Taksu Gallery, Sareng Gallery, Wei-Ling Gallery, Galeri Puteh, Core Design Gallery, MEAA Organization, Segaris Art Center, Rissim Gallery, Artas Gallery, Qing Gallery, A+ Works of Art, Art Plus, Le Galerie du Monde, Suma Orientalis, Zhan Art Space, The Drawing Room, and more.
Below is a partial installation shot of G13 Gallery's booth featuring works from many artists they've represented through the years.
We're particularly fond of abstract contemporary art featuring alternative materials and processes. Taksu Gallery never fails to deliver, offering depth and breadth in the genre among the twenty-four artists selected for Artober. Featureed works include Marissa R Ng (above, mixed media on aluminum composite panels), Nasrul Rokes, (not shown, sand and acrylic), Fazrin Abd Raman (not shown, spray paint on aluminum strips) and Agnes Lau (below, fired clay, glue, paint and varnish on wood) as well as intriguing works by over twenty additional emerging and established artists.
