Assah Sultan @ Rissim

From the 19th of August to the 19th of September, Rissim Gallery in Bansgar presents Dah Makan Kah? (Have you eaten?), the third solo exhibition and first in this country for Malaysian artist Assah Sultan.

Assah's colorful oil paintings combined with batik techniques explore the relationships between people and their food, including what this means in terms of culture. identity, and emotional connections. According to the artist, "food is more than sustenance—it is memory and nostalgia encapsulated in every dish."
